MarquipWardUnited has advanced its technology to cut digital sized sheets, larger than standard A4 and 8.5 x 11″ paper and smaller than folio or GTO sizes. Unlike cutsize sheets (A4 & A3) there are many sheets sizes cut long and short grain. As such, the Sheeter has to have variable sheet size capacity rather than the fixed size format of typical digital sizes.
When digital sizes are run on a normal variable sized sheeter the results are acceptable but the speed is extremely slow (typically 50-70m/min or 164-230ft/min). With the development of the cross cut knife and sheet delivery technology, this will allow these small sizes to be run at speeds up to 230m/min (755ft/min) or 12.7 cuts per second. MarquipWardUnited currently has six sheeters operating with this new knife technology in mills and converters around the world.
This technology can be supplied as a complete new sheeter or as an upgrade to the very popular MarquipWardUnited SheetWizard Sheeter.
